I’m Zoe – a London-based freelance copywriter, journalist, self-published author and aspiring commercial women’s fiction novelist. Basically, I like to write. A lot.
As a copywriter, I’ve written event write-ups, blogs, website text, brochure content and conference materials for many different clients. I’ve worked for arts organisations such as Barbican Centre, university departments such as Oxford University’s Said Business School, recruitment companies such as Hair & Beauty Jobs Ltd and cultural exchange organisations like The Mountbatten Institute.
As a journalist, I’ve worked as both a national newspaper reporter (Daily Express) and a local newspaper reporter (Oxfordshire Guardian). I’ve also written freelance articles for trade and consumer magazines, including Natural Health, Talk Business, Forbes Travel Guide, Global Cosmetics News, and others. I was a finalist of the Bradt/Independent on Sunday Travel Writing Competition 2012. And I completed the NCTJ in Newspaper Journalism in 2010, passing all modules.
When it comes to creative writing, my travel writing has been published twice by travel publishers Bradt in Roam Alone (2017) and The Irresponsible Traveller: Tales of Scrapes and Narrow Escapes (2014). I self-publish erotica under a pen name, and I’ve also written a rom com novel, which I’m currently querying to agents.

Aside from writing, I’m also into painting, reading, fashion and chronicling the cuteness of my dog, Bella, on Instagram.
